Scope of delivery:

Safety instructions: Contains pressurized CO₂ cartridge that may explode if heated. Protect from sunlight. Store in a well-ventilated place. The PFD is not a substitute for a full life jacket.

Manual

Wear RESTUBE PFD around your waist using the belt and secure with the neck strap.
Optionally connect your SUP leash via the SUP leash connector.
In an emergency, pull the trigger — the cushion-shaped buoy inflates to 7.5 kg (50 N) buoyancy.
Stay afloat using the cushion shape and signal for help.
After use, deflate via the valve, rinse with fresh water, and dry fully before storing.
Rearm with a new 16 g CO₂ cartridge and re-fold the buoy into the bag.

CE certified

Who is PFD for?

The PFD is a CE-certified 50N buoyancy aid and is therefore suitable for use wherever it is required (e.g. on Lake Constance or in Switzerland for stand-up paddling).

The PFD is the smallest and lightest in its class, perfect for those who want full freedom of movement.

The pfd by RESTUBE is also recommended for stand-up paddlers as the leash can be attached directly and comfortably to the belt.

Is the Safety Buoy a replacement for a life jacket?

No, it is not a substitute. The RESTUBE safety system is the most versatile system for more safety in the water. Anyone who needs an approved swimming aid in vest form, for example for stand-up paddling in Switzerland, can use the PFD. In any case, always follow the local rules and regulations. Safety concerns us all!

Can I use the RESTUBE Safety Buoy more than once?

Yes, after replacing the CO2 CARTRIDGE, the Safety Buoy is immediately ready for use again. The sales package contains the safety buoy incl. an original RESTUBE CO2 CARTRIDGE that must be screwed in before use. After use, the safety buoy is very easy to prepare for use again: Deflate, insert a new cartridge, fold the buoyancy chamber according to the printed instructions, and stow the whole thing in the pouch! ATTENTION: Only original RESTUBE CO2 CARTRIDGES are 1.) 100% quality tested, 2.) seawater resistant, 3.) level tested and 4.) the necessary release force is matched to the release. The cartridges comply with the standard for life jackets DIN EN ISO 12402-7. If other cartridges are used, it cannot be guaranteed that the safety buoy will fill without problems in an emergency and the trigger may be damaged.

How many times can a CO2 cartridge be used?

A CO2 cartridge can be used to trigger the Safety Buoy once. Afterwards, the empty CO2 cartridge must be removed, and a new original RESTUBE CO2 cartridge must be inserted.

You can also blow up the Safety Buoy manually using the mouth valve. This is a practical option if you are using the Safety Buoy as a swim buoy, or for snorkeling.
